Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how AIStack (“we”, “us”, “our”) collects, uses, stores, and shares information when you visit aistack.directory (the “Site”).

By using the Site, you agree to the practices described below. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.

1. Information we collect

1.1 Information you provide directly

  • Newsletter signups — your email address.
  • Tool submissions — the tool details and (optionally) your email.
  • Contact form — your name, email, topic, and message.

1.2 Information we collect automatically

  • Affiliate click tracking — when you click an affiliate button, we log the tool slug, source page, referrer URL, user-agent string, and timestamp. We do not log your IP address or personally identify you.
  • Tool view tracking — anonymized counts of which tool detail pages are viewed.
  • Standard server logs — our hosting provider (Vercel) may retain HTTP request logs (IP, user-agent, path) for security and abuse prevention. These are not joined to your identity.

1.3 Third-party analytics & ads

We use the following third parties, each with their own privacy practices:

  • Google Analytics 4 — anonymized usage analytics. Google’s privacy policy.
  • Microsoft Clarity — anonymized session replays & heatmaps for UX improvement. Microsoft’s privacy statement.
  • Google AdSense — may use cookies to serve personalized ads. AdSense privacy info.
  • Vercel — our hosting provider.
  • MongoDB Atlas — our database provider, used to store newsletter signups, submissions, and contact messages.

2. How we use information

  • To send the Weekly AI Tools Digest (only if you subscribed).
  • To reply to your contact-form messages.
  • To review and (if approved) publish submitted tools.
  • To analyze site usage and improve content.
  • To track affiliate conversions for accurate revenue reconciliation.
  • To detect, prevent, and address abuse, fraud, or security issues.

3. Cookies

We use a small number of first-party and third-party cookies for analytics, ad personalization (where applicable), and saving your comparison tray locally. You can disable cookies in your browser settings.

4. How we share information

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only with:

  • The third-party services listed in §1.3 above.
  • Law-enforcement or government bodies when legally required.
  • A successor in the event of merger or acquisition (with notice).

5. Your rights (GDPR / CCPA / etc.)

If you are in the EU, EEA, UK, California, or another jurisdiction with similar laws, you may have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you.
  • Request correction or deletion of that data.
  • Object to or restrict certain processing.
  • Request portability of your data.
  • Withdraw consent (e.g., unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time).

To exercise these rights, email privacy@aistack.directory. We respond within 30 days.

6. Data retention

  • Newsletter emails: kept until you unsubscribe.
  • Affiliate click logs: 24 months, then anonymized.
  • Contact messages: 24 months.
  • Tool submissions: indefinite (becomes part of the site once approved).

7. Security

We use industry-standard measures (TLS in transit, access-restricted database, secure password hashing for admin). No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable steps.

8. Children

The Site is not directed to children under 13 (or 16 in the EU). We do not knowingly collect their data. If you believe we have, contact us and we will delete it.

9. International transfers

Our service providers are in the United States and may store data there. By using the Site, you consent to such transfers.

10. Changes

We may update this policy. We will update the “Last updated” date at the top. Material changes will be announced on the Site.
