1. How Toolway AI Reviews Tools
Each tool that appears in our directory goes through the same hands-on review process before it is published or scored:
- Manual review. An editor signs up, uses the tool against a real workflow, and documents findings.

Every tool earns an Editor Score on a 1–10 scale. The score is a weighted blend of six factors:

A score above 9.0 means the tool is best-in-class. 8.0–9.0 means strong overall. Below 7.0 we usually don't feature unless the category is thin or the tool serves a niche audience exceptionally well.

- Affiliate partnerships do not buy a higher Editor Score. Scores are set by the editor who reviewed the tool.
- Affiliate partnerships do not guarantee placement. A tool is featured because it earned its place in the category.
- Sponsored tools are clearly labeled. When a tool pays for promotion, you will see a Sponsored or Featured badge on the listing.
- Editorial scores remain independent. Sponsorship affects placement of the sponsored block — never the underlying score.
- We do not accept payment to remove negative coverage. If a tool has a real flaw, it stays in the Cons list whether the company is a partner or not.
5. How Often Reviews Are Updated
- Every page is reviewed on a rolling basis. Most reviews are revisited at least every 90 days, and the “Updated” date on each page reflects the last editorial pass.
- Pricing changes are monitored. When a tool raises its prices, changes its free tier, or kills a feature, we update the page within days, not months.
- Comparisons are refreshed when major releases ship. A new model, new pricing, or a new platform-level capability triggers a full re-test of the comparison.
- Reader-flagged issues are triaged. If you spot something out of date, our feedback link on every page sends it directly to the editor responsible.
